The Columbarium is a memorial garden created and maintained as a resting place for the ashes of deceased residents, property owners and their families. It is located in the wooded natural area adjacent to and just south of the Community Centre, within the walls of an appropriately designed brick structure suitable for quiet repose and contemplation.
Niches are available for purchase by property owners and their families at a reasonable price. This may be done at the time of immediate need or at the present time, in order to insure the availability of a niche.
In addition, there is an area made available for name plaques for those who prefer a remembrance of their presence on the island and do not desire a niche.
Perpetual care of the Columbarium is provided by the Fripp Island Community Centre, Inc.
Should you have any interest and desire more information about the Columbarium, please contact Kathy Dunne at kdunne352@gmail.com
The library is open Monday-Friday 9AM - 4 PM.
